Summary
Traditional static-conducting cables are mostly coiled on floating plates. Due to wind swing and other reasons, they are clamped under the escalator rails, which can easily cause the braids to break. The self-recovery feature of RGR can better store the braids, will not cause the guide rails to break, and is more beautiful.

A new use for RGR ——Cable Collectors on floating roof tanks
Disadvantages of traditional electrostatic conductive cables
1. Traditional electrostatic conductive cables are mostly coiled on the floating plate, and are clamped under the escalator rails due to wind swings, which can easily cause the cable to break;
2. The traditional electrostatic conductive cable has no protective layer on the outer layer, which may be damaged by ice.
The difference from electrostatic conductive cables
This cable of RGR will automatically shrink as the float rises and falls. Compared with the traditional cable next to it, it can store the cable better, will not cause the guide rail to break, and is more beautiful.

Introduction of Retractable Grounding Reel
The “Retractable Grounding Reel” (RGR for short) is designed to discharge the static electricity of floating roof storage tanks. It is used as the equipotential bonding between the floating roof and tank shell. The lightning current and bound charge will be effectively and rapidly dissipated to the earth upon a lightning strike. Compared with the conventional bypass conductor, it will effectively decrease the possibility of a lightning-induced fire, and make it more reliable and safe.Features & Benefits
◆ 316L stainless steels housing for corrosion resistance.
◆ Pre-Tensioned: The RGR is pretensioned at the factory, so no on-site tensioning is required.
◆ Overall mirror polishing, more beautiful, better corrosion resistance.
◆ Braided strip outer stainless steel braiding protection, better tensile resistance.
◆ China Patent No.: ZL 2016 2 1012793.X
◆ Applicable Directive: 2014/34/EU
