We all have the experience of being shocked by electrostatic discharge. The electrostatic is carried by the human body can reach up to 5,000 volts. Hidden dangers of discharge and ignition may be caused if it is not removed in time.  In recent years, petroleum industry has developed rapidly, and the accompanying electrostatic accidents have also occurred frequently, causing greatly economic losses and personal casualties. The causes of electrostatic accidents are not complicated, but they are extremely concealed, which brings confusion and pressure to the safety management of enterprises.

In order to solve the potential safety hazards caused by excessive personal electrostatic in the petrochemical industry, ALPTEC decided to establish a project in October 2007 and is committed to the research and development of Personal Electrostatic Eliminating Alarm(PS-A for short). It was officially completed in June 2009. The birth of the PS-A has opened a new milestone in the domestic market for personal electrostatic discharge. The PS-A is the first personal electrostatic discharger that can intelligently provide audible and visible alarms in China. It can intelligently detect whether the static voltage of the human body has been removed. When the static voltage of the human body is at a dangerous value, an audible and visual alarm is issued. A new generation of explosion-proof products designed for the petrochemical industry.

After 14 years, PS-A has been upgraded for 6 generations, which is more and more humanized, and it can guide employees to touch and release personal electrostatic to ensure the safety of production.

Prior to this, the static elimination devices were widely used in the country which was the method of directly grounding stainless steel metal conductors to eliminate personal electrostatic. This method uses inter-conductor discharge, which inevitably has a large electrostatic discharge energy, and there is a great potential safety hazard of spark discharge. From a safety perspective, it actually adds an "ignition source". ALPTEC broke through the technical limitation, and after nearly one year, the electrostatic sub-conductor touch ball was born! The conductive ball made of special materials can release the static electricity of human body slowly at the same time, suppress the static energy, and ensure that no sparks are generated at the moment of contact.
